Tracking Smartphones, laptops or Tablets Remotely

Tracking MAC, iPhone and iPad:The Find My Feature in your Apple Device helps you to track your Stolen or lost Apple Device. You need to Enable this Feature.The “Find My” features are part of Apple’s iCloud service. 

To enable this feature, open the Settings app, tap iCloud, and set the Find My iPhone or Find My iPad slider to On. You’ll need to enable this setting on each device you want to track. If you haven’t set up iCloud on your device, you’ll be prompted to set up an iCloud account here.

For a Mac, open the System Preferences window (Apple menu > System Preferences), click the iCloud icon, and ensure the Find My Mac box is checked. You’ll be prompted to set up iCloud here if you haven’t already. Choose a Strong Password.

It is an amazing Feature by Apple, Whenever you put your iPhone or iPad in Lost Mode, iCloud will do its work and will track the movements so that you can see the History.

You can Remotely Lock a MAC, it will suddenly shut down it when the person tries to use it, he/she will have to enter the firmware password to boot it. They will be restricted to boot any operating system without the password. You can even Wipe all the data in your IOS device or MAC if you want.

Tracking Android Smartphone & Tablet:

To track Android Smartphone or Tablet we will use Android Device manager, which is an amazing feature to find your stolen smartphones. You need to activate andriod device manager no your device. here is how to do it..

Go to Settings > Then move to Security > Then move to Device Administrators > Android Device Manager > Activate it

After it’s enabled, you can visit the Google Play website, click the gear icon, and select Android Device Manager. You’ll see the location of the device on a map. Unlike Apple’s solution, Android Device Manager will be wiped after a factory reset. You can Ring the Device, Lock it or Erase all the data.

Thief can reset your device and you won’t be able to track it down. Android Device Manager also won’t monitor a complete history of a lost device’s movements. it only fetches the location of the device when you sign in. It discards any location data when you sign out.

App to Track Android Smartphones:

Android Lost allows you to start tracking a device remotely, even if you never set up tracking software ahead of time. I would Recommend you to download this app in your android device. Other tracking solutions offer more powerful features like the ability to take photos with the phone’s camera or listen in on the phone’s surroundings with its microphone.

 

Tracking Windows Phone:

Microsoft's Windows Phones comes with a feature called Find My Phone. You can Configure it by navigating to Settings > Find my phone. 

Now you can visit Windows phone Website and click Find my Phone which will be at the top right Corner. If somene Factory Resets your phone then this feature will be disabled.

Tracking Windows Laptops:

To Track your Stolen Laptops. we will be using Softwares that you need to install in your laptops. So that if in case you loose your laptop then you can track it later.

I will share two Softwares called Prey and Lockittight.  Both of these and all other similar softwares work in a simlar way. You Install any of these softwares, create account with then, so if your laptop gets stolen you can login to thier website to check the location of your laptop.

Prey offers this service for Windows, Mac and linux too.  It has paid plans but the free one will be good to just track the locations.

So you start with Downloading and Installing Prey Software, Once installed it will ask you to Create a New Account, So Create it.

Now you are almost Safe, if in future you loose your laptop. just Login to their website and set the slider from “OK” to “Missing” Prey only tracks your device when it’s missing, so it isn’t constantly tracking your laptop’s location. Be sure to also enable the Geo feature, which uses your laptop’s internal GPS hardware or the names of nearby Wi-Fi hotspots to report its location.

Once you’ve set your laptop to missing, its status will become “Tracked, waiting for report.” When the Prey software on your laptop checks in with the Prey server, it will receive a message that it has been marked as lost and generate a report. You’ll only receive an alert if the laptop is powered on, connected to the Internet, and the Prey software is still installed

Battery life is one of the biggest issues in the Android world today. Take your SIM card out, turn off Wi-Fi and never touch it and it'll sit there happily, lasting for a whole week on one charge. But try to use it for anything "smart" and, well, that's where the problems start.

It's no secret that smartphones are notorious battery hogs, with some devices having an almost embarrassing screen-on time. Those big luscious AMOLED and LCD screens are an obvious drain on your battery, but did you know there's lots of things you can do behind the scenes to get the most out of your Android? Here are Some tips to help you get the most out of your smartphone battery.

Tips to Extend Android Battery life.

1. Turn on power saving mode :Power saving mode is a Samsung feature which controls CPU and screen power as well as “haptic feedback” which uses vibrations to signal that a specific function has been utilized.  

You can turn it on and configure it by swiping down from your home screen and then choosing the “Settings” icon (which resembles a gear):

You will see the list of your available settings: Scroll down the list until you see “Power saving mode” and set it to “On”: 

Tap “Power saving mode” to review and configure the options. I recommend checking all three options to get the most out of power saving mode but you can pick and choose according to your preferences.

 

2.Deactivate Wi-Fi when not needed

If your phone's constantly sniffing out and trying to connect to every Wi-Fi signal in the area like a robot dog on heat, you're wasting power. Switch off Wi-Fi when out and about or when you know you're not going to be needing it. A Home screen toggle will make this easy. Think of it as something boring but essential you have to do, like always putting your seat belt on.

3.Uninstall unnecessary apps

You can never be too sure what's running itself in the background, what with all the multi-tasking, self-uploading, auto-replicating features in today's modern Android apps, so at least minimize the chances of something randomly hoovering up all your battery by constantly trying to connect to some non-existent server, by deleting any unused or old apps.

4. Reduce your multimedia use

Music and videos are the best ways I know to drain a battery.  It’s cool that smartphones can do this stuff but I find myself very conservative with my multimedia use.  I use a Blackberry as an MP3 player when I go to the gym, for instance, since it works fine for my purposes and I don’t have to run down the battery on my Android.  Consider a cheap music player to carry on the side if you just need something to listen to.

If you’re on a coast-to-coast flight and don’t care whether you run your battery down watching a movie on your device, far be it from me to stop you, but if you need your device to communicate with the outside world (such as on a camping trip) I’d skip the entertainment.

5.Use Apps:

Apps like Battery Doctor will give you a much better indication of what's literally eating away at your phone's battery over time than Android's own limited battery life checker, which could help finger something that's the key culprit in draining power. And if you can live without it, bin it.

Another Good app is Cleanmaster that i would recommend. Cleanmaster helps you keep track of what’s running on your device and can kill off processes taking too many resources.

This allows you to end programs directly. The program allows you to perform several functions; Select “Junk Files” >  Selecting “Clean Junk” can restore some of your memory, making your Android have to work less.

The “memory boost” function is somewhat similar; it can kill open apps you don’t need. There is an App Manager which works in a similar fashion to the native manager on the Android, but you can backup apps first which can be handy:

6.Turn off auto-syncing for Google accounts:

If you don't need every single Google account updated every fifteen minutes, just go into your Settings and Google account and turn off auto-sync for those apps you don't need constantly updated.

Steps to Disable the Auto sync mode:

• Go to the Home screen page and then select the Application section .

• Then move to the Accounts and sync option .

• Now press to it and find the auto sync option.

• Under it you have to turn OFF this option.

• And you see that your auto sync option is on OFF mode.

7.Turn Down the Brightness of your Screen

Turn down the brightness and turn off Automatic Brightness: It's probably obvious at this point, but you'll be surprised by how much this one alone helps to improve battery life. This will also help your Eyes and your android battery life too.

How to run 2 BBM Pin on Android Device - Download Blackberry Messenger on Android Phones

 

You may be surprise and had asked how possible this could be before viewing this post on how to run two (2) BlackBerry Messenger also known as BBM Pin on an Andriod Device

 P.S: You can only use it on Android Phone

It is surprising to see that the original creators of BBM, cannot use it on default BlackBerry devices, but Andriod  has cracked the limits.

4. Place the downloaded .CSO or .ISO file in your SD Card.

Kali Linux on Android using Linux Deploy

Getting Kali Linux to run on ARM hardware has been a major goal for us since day one. So far, we’ve built native images for the Samsung Chromebook, Odroid U2, Raspberry Pi, RK3306, Galaxy Note 10.1, CuBox, Efika MX, and BeagleBone Black to name a few. This however does not mean you cannot install Kali Linux in a chroot on almost any modern device that runs Android. In fact, the developers of Linux Deploy have made it extremely easy to get any number of Linux distributions installed in a chroot environment using a simple GUI builder.

Prerequisites

• A device running Android 2.1 and above, rooted.
• At least 5 GB free space on internal or external storage.
• A fast, wireless internet connection.
• Patience to wait for a distribution to bootstrap from the network.

Configuring Linux Deploy for Kali

There’s actually very little to be done to get Kali installed. By choosing Kali Linux in the “Distribution” tab, you’ve pretty much covered the important stuff. Optionally, you can choose your architecture, verify that the Kali mirror is correct, set your installation type and location on your Android device, etc. Generally speaking, the defaults provided by Linux Deploy are good to begin with.

Building the Kali Image

Once you are happy with all the settings, hitting the “install” button will start a Kali Linux bootstrap directly from our repositories. Depending on your Internet connection speed, this process could take a while. You’ll be downloading a base install of Kali Linux (with no tools) at minimum.

Once the installation is complete, you can have Linux Deploy automatically mstart” button. You should see Linux Deploy setting up your image with output similar to the following:

At this stage, Linux Deploy has started a VNC and SSH server inside your chrooted Kali image. You can connect to the Kali session remotely using the IP address assigned to your Android device (in my case, 10.0.0.10).

Logging in to your chrooted Kali

Now you can use either a SSH or VNC client to access your Kali instance. The VNC password is “changeme” and the SSH credentials are “android” for the username (configured via Linux Deploy) and “changeme” as the password.
